Magnet Releasing Tracks Down Andre Ovredal's TROLL HUNTER

Andre Ovredal's Troll Hunter created quite a stir when an in-progress version of the moc-doc creature feature screened as a Secret Screening at the 2010 edition of Fantastic Fest, becoming enough of a viral sensation that the English subtitled trailer which had its debut here on Twitch represented nearly three quarters of our page traffic for the next three days. Clearly Ovredal had struck a chord with his tongue in cheek tale of college kids discovering a centuries old government cover up to keep the existence of real, actual trolls hidden from the general population.

This, of course, raised the question of how those not at Fantastic Fest will be able to see it and the answer to that became a lot clearer when word hit yesterday that Magnet Releasing / Magnolia Pictures have taken global rights to the film, excluding mainland Europe. Magnet will handle the US release themselves while licensing the picture to other territories.
